Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were cozy with a fresh view from the window, but fell short of expectations for a brand like Taj. The lack of plug points was inconvenient. Service was inconsistent, with friendly interactions but varying information. The location was decent, slightly away from the city center but close to major areas within a short reach. The dining options were basic, especially for a luxury hotel, although the service was good. Overall, the stay did not fully meet Taj standards and left room for improvement.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of great and not so great experiences. The club room I stayed in was very spacious and comfortable, with access to a private bar and dining room, but the overall condition could use an upgrade to match its once-celebrated status. The view of Victoria Memorial and Howrah Bridge was stunning, although the room had a musty smell.
The hotel offers spacious rooms with great views, though some upgrades may be needed. The staff is extremely helpful, but there were extra charges that surprised us. The location is excellent, especially for exploring historical sites. The dining experience had limited options but improved after addressing the issue.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were relatively small but of a 5-star class, and they were equipped with an ironing board and table. The service was excellent, with attentive staff like Mr Sanjiib who made my day. The location, although not very good for sightseeing, was nice and peaceful. The dining experience was so good that it made my stay memorable.
Upon my early afternoon arrival, I found the newly redecorated rooms at the hotel spacious and inviting. Though lacking a center table, managing food service was a bit of a struggle due to limited space. The marble floors and comfortable bed, along with modern amenities like free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee facilities, and yoga mats, made for a pleasant stay despite the high occupancy rate from concurrent conventions in town.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of fantastic features and a few drawbacks. The rooms, although in need of an upgrade for a better view, were spacious and impeccably serviced. However, they felt somewhat old and shabby. The service, from the bell boys to the front desk staff, was warm, courteous, and incredibly helpful. The location, while near landmarks like the Victoria Memorial, lacked much to see within walking distance. The dining experience, part of my package, offered a wide variety of sumptuous dishes catering to all tastes. Overall, my experience was enjoyable, but with some room for improvement.
